Bill began his emergency services career with Gwinnett County, Georgia in 1983 after serving in the United States Navy. In addition to his experience as Gwinnett County Fire Chief, he has served on the Georgia State Board of Public Safety, Georgia Region III EMS Council, and IAFC’s Southeastern Division Board of Directors. Bill also earned Chief Fire Officer Designation (CPSE) and graduated from the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program.
He retired as Fire Chief from Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services in 2013 and began serving as Digitech’s Executive Director – Municipal Relations in 2018.
Bill and his wife Jami own and operate a small farm near Nashville, Tennessee.
