Catherine Tenzyk, Manager of Quality Assurance & Compliance

Catherine joined the Digitech Computer Inc. team in Sept. 2002. She brought to the table, thirteen years’ experience working for Abbey Richmond Ambulance Service (a family owned and operated Ambulance Company based in White Plains, New York). Her responsibilities there included dispatching, Medicare billing and Insurance and patient collections. Prior to that, she worked as a medical secretary in Cardiology and Orthopedics allowing for a vast knowledge of medical terminology. During her first two years with Digitech, her responsibilities and knowledge in both Medicare part A and B lead to a promotion to Medicare Manager. The company continued to grow and in 2012, recognizing the importance for compliance and internal auditing, Digitech decided to create a QA Department which Catherine was asked to head. Her team consists of EMTs, Paramedics and Nurses who are responsible for assuring compliant Medicare and Medicaid billing practices. Since her start at Digitech over ten years ago, she has become CMS, CPR and CAC certified and attends webinars and seminars regularly. Catherine has witnessed many changes over the years from the days of hand written claim forms to electronic filing and collection in the ever changing fast paced EMS world of today.
